Deep RockGalactic's board game adaptation, Deep Rock Galactic — The Board Game, was fully funded on Kickstarter within 18 minutes of its launch. Deep Rock Galacticis the newest video game to be given the board game treatment, following other popular games like Borderlands, Stardew Valley, and Fallout.
Deep Rock Galactic is a four-player cooperative game that can be played on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation. The game has different classes that players can choose from and each of these has special perks and abilities. Players are sent into a mine that they must navigate in order to gain Gold, Morkite, and Nitra that allow them to purchase upgrades, complete missions, and call in supply drops. The main goal of the game is to get as much Morkite as possible and try to survive the waves of enemies that are sent while mining. Throughout the game, players can upgrade their dwarves using Deep Rock Galactic's KPI Terminal and give them special Perk Points to improve their chances of surviving.

Deep Rock Galactic launched its Kickstarter on February 10th with a goal of $227,019 (converted from €200,000). At the time of publishing, the project is currently sitting at $1,855,847 with 12,842 backers and 18 days to go. Almost all of the stretch goals have been met, with only one left at the current time. There are many aspects of the board game that fans of Deep Rock Galactic will likely appreciate; for example, one of the Kickstarter exclusives available is a beer mug event marker much like the mugs players can get from the Abyss Bar.
