Arkane Studios's latest flagship title, Deathloop, is getting a substantial new content update across all platforms on September 20 titled Goldenloop. Featuring the largest batch of post-launch content the game has received since its 2021 release, Goldenloop promises to upgrade most aspects of the game and serves as a bit of a follow-up to its Xbox launch earlier in September.
Whereas Deathloop hasn't received any major expansion packs like Arkane Studios' games often do, it is getting more free post-launch content instead. Goldenloop, specifically, isn't quite as substantial as an actual paid DLC, but it does introduce a variety of new elements to the game's meta, each of which may prove instrumental in coming up with new strategies and approaches to the core gameplay progression.
Deathloop Ads Have Been Spotted On Xbox Dashboard
The Goldenloop update releases on September 20 to celebrate Deathloop's Xbox console launch, and promises a huge array of systemic upgrades for players to engage with. Additions include the Halps Prototype beam weapon, a Fugue ability for Colt, upgrades for Julianna's Masquerade ability, and the Paint-Bomber enemy type. Perhaps most importantly, the game now also supports optional crossplay matchmaking, allowing PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players to compete in Deathloop's asymmetrical PvP, should they wish to do so.
While it had been suggested that Deathloop may have a big month ahead of it this September, Arkane and Bethesda had successfully kept the Goldenloop update under wraps up until now.
