Just days after its surprise announcement, Capcom has confirmed the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will launch for PS5 on 19th September 2024 via the PS Store. A physical version will follow in November. Priced at £44.99 / $49.99, the original game has been modernised, firstly with a 4K resolution running at 60 frames-per-second. Check out the trailer above to see the remaster in action.
As part of the Capcom Next livestream, the publisher covered lots of quality-of-life improvements to go alongside the visual overhaul. You'll now be able to move Frank West while aiming, there's an auto-save feature so you no longer need to find a bathroom anymore, NPC behaviour has been improved, and more control adjustments will upgrade things further. Real-time lighting and shadow effects will then change the look and general mood of the mall's locations based on the time of day. It's also now running on the RE Engine.
A Digital Deluxe Edition of the game is also available, bundling in tons of bonus costumes and soundtracks, including a few items from Dead Rising 2. It'll set you back an extra £5 / $5 on top of the standard price. Will you be checking out Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster? Let us know in the comments below.
