Potential leaks regarding Dead Island 2 have surfaced. Twitter user Wario64 spotted an Amazon listing for Dead Island 2, the upcoming zombie action RPG developed by Dambuster Studios. While the posting was clearly accidental, it revealed that Dead Island 2 will release on February 3, 2023.
The leaked entry was for Dead Island 2: Day One Edition with the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X versions being posted. Although a PC version wasn’t part of this leak we have no reason to assume that it won’t be coming. After all, the previous entry released on PC, and publisher Deep Silver has launched most of its games on PC as well.
Alongside its release date, the listing also had a description for Dead Island 2. From this we know that players will explore Los Angeles on a journey that spans from the suburbia of Beverly Hills to the promenades of Venice Beach. It promises combat that delivers an “intense, visceral, and gory first person experience” as you mow down zombies.
The story is about a deadly virus that has spread across LA and is turning its inhabitants into dangerous zombies. As a countermeasure, the city has gone into quarantine, with even the military retreating. You, alongside the others that have a natural resistance to the pathogen, are tasked with saving Los Angeles. But if you fail, humanity will fall prey to the virus.
For whatever reason, Amazon has been leaking a lot as of recent.
