Thymesia is quite the interesting Soulslike. It takes aspects from Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro, but it ends up feeling like its own thing. Whether that be the combat additions, the replayability of each zone, or the unique crafting mechanics that surround the game’s potion system.

It’s possible you could go through the entirety of Thymesia and never realise this system exists. Potions exist, and enhancing them is also something you do on the regular. Heck, there are even different bases for each potion. But crafting a specialised potion based on ingredients? That’s where things get interesting.
In Thymesia you can create all manner of concoctions by mixing between one and three ingredients into one of your three basic potion types. Each ingredient provides a unique benefit, such as Rosemary increasing your HP recovery, or Clove decreasing the amount of damage you take.
Once you have upgraded a potion to the point it can be mixed with three ingredients, you can start to mix specific recipes, although all of these are hidden from you. A bit of experimentation (and this guide) are all you need to uncover their secrets, however.
The order in which you place your ingredients does not matter.
Out of all the available potion recipes, we found the following to be the ones to take more often than not:
Warming up is a straight damage increase. The bonus is not massive, but more damage is always welcome in a game that is heavily focused on offensive play, and aggression. Warming Up is one of those potions you craft when you are confident in your abilities, and just want to push yourself to the next level.
