Despite it not saying so in the patch notes, the latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 now adds keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox Series version of the game. While CD Projekt Red is currently working on a new Witcher game, the studio is still hard at work firing out patches for its open-world sci-fi title. Given the way things were when it was first released in 2020, the developer certainly had its work cut out for it to fix a myriad of game-breaking bugs.
Despite the new Witcher game, which could well be a new saga, CD Projekt Red is committed to Cyberpunk 2077 as a franchise. Hence all the updates, and the 1.6 patch recently rolled out in an effort to keep the game in tip-top shape. However, one user did notice the new feature that was added, even though it apparently does not say anywhere that it had been implemented.

A post from Reddit user PurpleMessi says that, thanks to the new «Edgerunners» update, Xbox Series owners can now play Cyberpunk 2077 with a mouse and keyboard. Images on the thread show the user has plugged the peripherals into their setup. However, it has also been noted that the latest patch does not bring mouse and keyboard support to the PS5 version of the game, and it looks as though no one is really sure why that is, especially considering the console supports peripherals with other titles.
It's possible CDPR could add the feature to the PS5 in a later update, but that's speculation at this stage. Patch 1.6 for Cyberpunk 2077 was released recently and represents the last update for PS4 and Xbox One as the gaming industry moves on from the previous generation of consoles.
