Warning! Spoilers ahead for Choujin X chapter 25!
In Sui Ishida's Choujin X, the newest choujin to reveal himself is non-other than Tokio's childhood friend Azuma, whose abilities mimic that of Marvel's Iron Fist in everything but temperament.
The Choujin X world is divided into humans and superpowered individuals known as choujin. A choujin is either born with the transformative ability or can acquire the ability through injection or by being infected by another choujin. Transformation into a choujin usually occurs after a person experiences a traumatic or stressful situation. In Choujin X #1, Azuma Higashi acquired the transformative ability after injecting himself with a serum containing some form of choujin biological material. However, Azuma did not experience the stressful catalyst required to unlock his super powers until sometime later after he was mortally wounded when attempting to rescue Tokio from two mercenary choujin in Choujin X #19. However, unlike Tokio or Ely, who had significant difficulties using their abilities after the initial transformation, Azuma's skillset, and his ability to effectively put his skills to use was immediate.

As depicted in Choujin X #21, soon after the transformation, Azuma not only defeated the two mercenary choujin who had kidnapped Tokio, but also slew two «Keeper» choujin from Yamato Mori who were sent to arrest the mercenaries. As such, the rise of Azuma's superpowers mirrors how Danny Rand acquired the mantle and powers of Iron Fist in Marvel Comics.
