Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, a sequel to last year’s retro game compilation, has been confirmed via a Capcom Steam listing.
According to Capcom’s page description for Capcom Fighting Collection, the unannounced follow-up is set to include Three Wonders, a 1991 compilation featuring Midnight Wanderers, Chariot and Don’t Pull, but other games have yet to be detailed.
The Steam page reads: “The second Capcom Arcade Stadium title featuring a recreated arcade full of authentic cabinets to play. Coming soon with a new lineup of masterpieces! An additional title, Three Wonders, is also available as part of this set.”
Last week, the official South Korean game classification website rated Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium as well as another title known as “Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium Bundle #1”.
Both entries have the description: “A PC game that features various retro arcade games from the ’80s and ’90s developed by Capcom as a collection.”
Both have also been given a 15+ age rating, compared to the 12+ age rating given to the first Capcom Arcade Stadium in South Korea.
The original Capcom Arcade Stadium was released on Switch in February 2021, before coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC a few months later.
The collection consists of 32 retro arcade games from Capcom’s history and spans 17 years, from 1984’s Vulgus to 2001’s Progear.
Powered by the RE Engine, the game sets its menu in a virtual arcade, letting players pan across the cabinets before deciding which one to play.
The initial game is a free download and comes with 1943: The Battle of Midway free. Players can then buy three separate packs, each containing 10 games, with Ghosts ‘n Goblins available as a bonus game.
