Through Moon Knight and WandaVision, Marvel appears to be setting up two of the Cornerstones of Creation, which would serve as replacements for the Infinity Stones in Phase 4. The movies in the Infinity Saga proved that the six Stones are among the most powerful relics in the MCU’s multiverse. However, their destruction in Avengers: Endgame may have set the stage for Marvel to move on to new cosmic weapons and artifacts.
Considering how massive the Marvel Universe is, it should come as no surprise that its world is loaded with magical items of immense power. Like the Infinity Stones themselves, many of these weapons could act as the driving force behind some major MCU adventures, with villains looking to use their capabilities to advance their goals. And in just a few years, Marvel has already found a few weapons to fill these roles. WandaVision introduced the Darkhold, the most sought-after spellbook in Marvel Comics and Shang-Chi’s solo movie featured the MCU debut of the Mandarin’s infamous Ten Rings.

So far, though, it’s unclear if any of Marvel’s new additions can come close to rivaling the power of the Infinity Gauntlet, which can erase half of the universe – and worse. That being said, the direction Marvel is taking with Moon Knight and WandaVision hints that it’s on its way to having proper replacements for the six Infinity Stones.
