It's nearly that time of the year again, a new Call of Duty is right around the corner. Unlike the last few years, there's a palpable amount of excitement in the air surrounding this year's entry. A sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare, fans are hoping that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can once again breathe new life into the military shooter franchise, both in terms of yearly CoD releases and its Warzone battle royale spin-off. Using Modern Warfare 2's updated engine as a base, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is set to release just a few weeks after the mainline entry, giving fans plenty of time to prepare.
The first Call of Duty: Warzone released around five months after Modern Warfare, which ensured that anyone who had been playing Modern Warfare since release already had an arsenal full of upgraded, decked-out weapons. While it's a much shorter period this time round, fans will still have the best part of three weeks to ensure that they're ready for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and everything it has in store.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 releases on October 28, 2022, and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 drops on November 16, 2022. This gives fans a total of 19 days to get fully prepared for the battle royale's first Season. There's quite a bit for fans to wrap their heads around this time, as Modern Warfare 2 introduces a handful of new mechanics, all of which will also play a large part in Warzone 2.0.
