The Call of DutyNext event has now confirmed that the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will come with a comprehensive cross-progression system, allowing a shared Battle Pass and a variety of other essential features. The official announcement cites a unified technology stack that lets developers effectively combine certain aspects of the broad COD gaming experience into one package.
Though the previous mobile versions of Call of Duty weren't necessarily marketed to the same player base as the mainline COD titles were, this doesn't seem to be the case with Warzone Mobile. Official sources have mentioned sharing social features alongside the Battle Pass as well, like friend lists and chat channels, but Mobile is otherwise still going to have its own clearly defined and separate identity.

The upcoming COD: Warzone Mobile is being co-developed by four different mobile game developers — Activision Shangai, Beenox, Digital Legends, and Solid State Studios — which is what may have caused Activision Blizzard to push for advanced cross-progression functionality this time around. The reveals also confirmed that Verdansk is coming back in COD: Mobile, and it's supposed to be «Verdansk just like [players] remember,» suggesting that it's a direct copy of the map's original layout.
Perhaps even more notable is the fact that Warzone 2's new Al Mazrah map will also make its way into Warzone Mobile in the future, underlining the games' connected nature. It remains to be seen just how well assets from, say, Modern Warfare 2 transfer over to a mobile game, of course.
