Those who play at launch usually have to split their time between multiplayer, campaign, and co-op. However, Activision is changing that just a bit with for those who pre-order digitally. Anyone who buys the game early on digital storefronts will be able to play the game’s campaign over a week early on October 20.
People who purchase the game physically or those that don’t pre-order at all will still have to wait until October 28 to play the campaign. The campaign follows Task Force 141 as they face their “greatest threat yet” and travel throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas. While most of it has yet to be substantially revealed, Activision showed a story mission during Summer Game Fest.
Pre-ordering the game will also open up early access to the beta and unlock the Final Judgement Bundle, which contains an Operator skin and weapon blueprint for and. Pre-ordering the will unlock the previous rewards as well as a handful of cosmetic bundles: Red Team 141, which has four playable Operators; the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, which is related to the Gunsmith and will be shown more during September’s reveal event; the Season 1 battle pass with 50 tier skips; and the Ghost Legacy Pack, which contains over 20 items for and, bizarrely, 2019’s .
Multiplayer is still somewhat of a mystery, too, but it will be revealed in September. The Call of Duty Next event on September 15 will have a multiplayer-focused event and will preempt the beta by one day. The dates are scattered across platforms and pre-orders, but it starts on September 16 for those who pre-order on PlayStation systems and gradually expands from there over the next few weeks.
