The new trailer for Call of Duty Warzone Pacific and Vanguard Season 3 hints that players might get attacked by Godzilla soon. Last year’s release of Call of Duty: Vanguard also brought about a significant change for Warzone as it introduced the island of Caldera as the battle royale’s new map, replacing Verdansk and relocating the game’s setting to the Pacific theater of World War 2. While the new map has proven to mostly be a positive, there are things that Warzone’s Caldera Island needs to change.
The location and setting of Call of Duty: Warzone’s main playlist isn’t the only major element of the popular battle royale that has changed since the release of Vanguard. The classic Rebirth Island map, which was originally released near the end of 2020 as part of Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War, finally got a significant update in Season 2 of Warzone Pacific. Dubbed Rebirth Island Reinforced, the update gave Warzone’s smaller battle royale map a much-needed facelift, which changed several of its POIs while also adding completely new ones. The update also introduced improved lighting across the entirety of the map. Interestingly, Season 2 of Warzone also saw the surprising addition of Snoop Dogg to Call of Duty.
