Destiny 2 has become a hugely popular online shooter since its release back in 2017. With multiple huge expansions including raids, new storylines, and new loot for players to pick up, Destiny 2 has kept a dedicated fanbase of players who are always looking for what developer Bungie will be putting out next. The latest release in Destiny 2's impressive list of expansions is the Witch Queen, which brings all the new content a Destiny 2 player would expect in a large expansion.
Bungie has also been looking to include some balance changes to Destiny 2 alongside the release of the new expansion. The Void 3.0 update brings the first of many changes being brought about to Destiny 2's elemental subclasses. Yet, while there is plenty of upcoming updates and already released content for Destiny 2, it seems that Bungie is already looking towards its next step. A Lead AI Engineer position refers to an upcoming unannounced project, though the real indicator that this unannounced project is not a Destiny sequel is in the job description, which discusses candidates helping Bungie to create its «next enduring game IP.» There are currently a multitude of positions open at the Destiny 2developer, again indicating that Bungie could be coming up with something new.
