Bugsnax is an indie game from a studio called Young Horses, and players take control of a journalist who makes their way to Snaktooth Island to discover a big secret. The gameplay may remind players of the Pokemon Snap series, but it's much more than that. Instead of just taking photos of critters, players will need to capture the many types of Bugsnax in the various biomes. Some are easier to catch than others, and there are some that require some finagling with the tools players have at their disposal.
Most of the bugsnax on the island can be caught at any time of the day or during all kinds of weather. However, there are some bugsnax that only be caught during the night time, or even during the rain. This guide will go over how to change the time of day to make it rain in Bugsnax so that players can collect all 100 bugsnax species on Snaktooth Island to get all trophies/achievements.
Customization in Bugsnax's 'The Isle of Bigsnax' DLC Will Help it Stand Out
To change the time of day in Bugsnax, players can't do it from the menu. Instead, they need to look around for a bed or something that one of the NPCs sleeps in, such as the lounge chair in the beach area. There are plenty of beds back in Snaxburg, where players will bring the Grumpuses to stay. Just approach one of the beds, interact with it, and then some options will appear.
Bugsnax players can choose to sleep until 5 AM, Noon, 5 PM, or Midnight. There are some quests that require the player to change the time of day to complete them, so the beds will come in handy for that. And like mentioned before, some bugsnax can only be caught at certain times of the day. It's worth mentioning that changing the time of day will not have an impact on the story or anything
