Rumors are already swirling for Disney's live-action Hercules remake for casting on the film and Bruce Campbell is sharing his thoughts on his fancasting. Campbell is best known for his work in the horror genre, leading the Evil Dead franchise as protagonist Ash Williams as he faced the demonic threat known as the Deadites spawned by the Necronomicon Ex Mortis. Campbell is also known for his frequent collaborations with writer/director Sam Raimi outside of the Evil Dead series, making appearances in the original Spider-Man trilogy, Darkman and most recently Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Disney's Hercules acted as an animated adaptation of the Greek mythology about the eponymous son of Zeus as he is kidnapped from Mount Olympus by Hades' demons and later trains with satyr Philoctetes to become a true hero and earn back his godhood by defeating the lord of the Underworld. Though considered a financial disappointment at the time, Hercules scored largely favorable reviews and kept the Disney Renaissance alive in the late '90s with the likes of The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Disney is gearing up to bring Hercules back to life with a live-action remake and fans are already eagerly submitting their thoughts on who should lead the cast.
