Fans looking forward to the upcoming release of Boruto Chapter 71 will be shocked to learn that it will be the last chapter they'll see for nearly two months, as the manga is set to go on an unexpected hiatus.
Since the start of the Code arc, a little over a year ago with Chapter 56, Boruto has slowly but consistently built to a critical juncture in the saga. Over the last several months, in particular, the manga has been especially captivating as the reconstituted Kara under the direction of Code successfully invaded Konoha Village and executed a perfect «snatch and grab» of Amado, who then was forced to remove the limitations on Code's powers. The arc has also strongly suggested the return, in some form, of Naruto's age-old nemesis, the Otsutsuki clan after both were seemingly stopped from having the ability to resurrect themselves. Needless to say, there are a number of interesting story elements that are coming to a head at the same time. Unless, creator Masashi Kishimoto is able to tie all this ends up in the next chapter, which is scheduled to be published on June 20, 2022, fans are going to have to wait till late August, at the earliest, before learning what the after-effects of the current situations are.

According to Comicbook.com, a tweet from @addul_S17 shared the rumor that after Chapter 71's publication, the next available Chapter will be available in the October 2022 issue of V Jump magazine.
