According to Hill, the sequel is undergoing brief reshoots from September 7 through September 14 in Atlanta, Georgia. Production initially took place from late June to early November 2021 in Atlanta and Massachusets before a hiatus to allow star Letitia Wright (Shuri) to recover from injuries she faced on set. Production resumed by mid-January 2022 and wrapped in late March in Puerto Rico, with the first Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer released at the end of July.
While reshoots can be a natural part of the production process, a film undergoing significant ones is typically not a good sign, as it means that the film has just not been clicking overall. Of course, there's no telling what they are reshooting, and Marvel Studios has been known to use reshoots as a means to add new post-credits scenes. However, in this case, it appears the reshoots for director Ryan Coogler's latest film come down to some fine-tuning and ensuring that audiences are presented with the best film possible in November.
