The origin of Black Noir scars in The Boys season 3 raises a big question about how his healing powers actually work. As one of the main members of The Seven, Black Noir is always lurking in the story of Prime Video's superhero show. However, much of his backstory and character still remain a mystery. The Boys season 3 has shown Black Noir heal from his nut-induced coma from season 2 and return to being an active member of the team. However, the arrival of his old Payback team leader Soldier Boy also brought the silent Supe to go off the grid.
In addition to Black Noir's role in working with Homelander to protect The Seven and Vought in the present day, The Boys season 3 includes new revelations about his past. Flashbacks have shown Black Noir working with Payback and helping orchestrate the team's betrayal of Soldier Boy. The Boys season 3, episode 7 confirms this was not Black Noir's decision alone, as Vought CEO Stan Edgar proposed the attack and handing Vought's biggest Supe to the Russians.
