Between pre-orders going live and topping wishlists on Steam, Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong is on a roll. Launching next month, it’s received some new gameplay for its boss fights. One is seemingly new, while the other was revealed in August 2022 – check them out below courtesy of GameSpot.
The first is Guangzhi, described as a “wolf-like beast” who “honed his skills at a monastery.” Utilizing The Red Tides, he’s capable of extensive combos with fiery effects, matching Wukong’s speed and keeping up the pressure. The second is Red Loong, a “hidden boss” with a razor-bladed tail who channels lightning. Fortunately, a spell can temporarily halt it, allowing for a powerful strike that knocks it down.
Black Myth: Wukong launches on August 20th for PS5 and PC but has faced a delay on Xbox Series X/S for optimization. However, there have been rumors of a PlayStation-exclusive deal, which may or may not have impacted the latter’s release. Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates and check out our feature for the latest information.
