A new Bioshock Unreal Engine 5 fan concept video has been released, featuring Bioshock-themed environment art within Epic's game engine.
We've covered quite a bit of Unreal Engine 5 videos since the engine's release back in 2022, but we wanted to share this one as well as it comes from a former art designer on Microsoft's Halo Infinite, and the more recent Immortals of Aveum and Amazon's New World - Kaleb Nekumanesh. As said, this nearly five-minute-long fan concept was created using Unreal Engine 5 using Megascans as well as custom models, materials, decals, and marketplace assets. It's an impressive video that shows what a modern-day Bioshock could like look. Check it out below, and tell us what you think below.
As an artist, Nekumanesh worked on various high-profile games, including Halo Infinite (Level Design and Gameplay Design), New World (Terrain and POI Artist), and Immortals of Aveum.
2007's Bioshock is being considered as one of the best games ever created. Some consider Bioshock 2 to be the better shooting game, but many would agree that the original Bioshock has the better story, atmosphere, and characters. As most of you will know, Bioshock creator Ken Levine is currently working on Judas, which will have resemblances with Bioshock when it comes to weaponry and powers.
As for the Bioshock series - back in 2019, 2K finally confirmed that a new entry in the franchise is in the works at developer Cloud Chamber. 2K President David Ismailer said, "As we continue growing our product portfolio, we remain inspired by opportunities to invest further in our valuable IP, great people and their collective, long-term potential.
