BerserkBoy Games, the studio behind Berserk Boy, has announced a new game called Berserk B.I.T.S.
Scheduled to launch in Steam early access in 2024, it’s an idle RPG, auto-battler, chip-collecting game that will run on the player’s desktop alongside other applications.
“Train and level up your B.I.T.S (Battle.Intelligent.Teammate.System),” reads an official description. “Team up with your digital buddy and take on the internet. Battle virus’ explore new biomes and defeat powerful viruses and bosses!
“Send your B.I.T off to battle and explore different parts of the net to obtain currency, helper bots and more! All while you concentrate on other tasks.
“Collect and craft a plethora of battle chips to be used in real-time during battle,” BerserkBoy Games added. “Each battle chip is placed in an ever growing library that you can strive to fill out. Get medals for completing tasks or kick back and spend time decorating your perfect HOME NET.”
The title, which is available to wishlist now, will initially be released for PC with English language support, but BerserkBoy Games said more languages and platforms are planned following the early access launch.
Berserk Boy, a futuristic 2D action platformer with a retro style, was released in March.
VGC’s Berserk Boy review called it “a great modern take on Mega Man style gameplay and one of the better recent attempts to bring the 16-bit era into the 2020s”.
