Bayonetta 3 Voice Actor Jennifer Hale Responds To Voice Acting Pay Controversy
Over the weekend, a controversy raged surrounding the treatment of voice actors in the games industry, specifically the pay they receive. This was kicked off after longtime Bayonetta voice actor Hellena Taylor revealed she was offered just $4,000 for her to return to the role in Bayonetta 3. Taylor uploaded a video last Saturday urging potential buyers to boycott the game and instead donate the money they were going to spend on the title to charity.
Jennifer Hale is now the voice actor behind Bayonetta this time around, although what she was paid for the role is currently unknown. Hale has finally released a statement about the situation after fans speculated she was bound from speaking by an NDA, explaining that she "support[s] every actor's right to be paid well" but asks everyone to "keep in mind" that Bayonetta 3 was developed by a team of "hard-working, dedicated people."

"As a longtime member of the voice acting community, I support every actor's right to be paid well and have advocated consistently for this for years," reads Hale's statement. "I am under an NDA and am not at liberty to speak regarding this situation. My reputation speaks for itself."
