Battlefield 2042. It has become a byword for something. Its name, with that specific near-future date, associated with a certain feeling or basket of emotions. Suffice to say, the twelfth main entry in the Battlefield series has not had the smoothest of receptions.
Plagued with technical issues, a lack of content at launch, and baffling changes to gameplay, the game has earned a negative reputation from critics and players alike. But are things salvageable? The game has failed to meet Electronic Arts' sales expectations, but the publisher sails on with support as DICE is about to launch the title's first multiplayer season very soon, if rumours are to be believed.

According to unmentioned sources and Nick Baker of the Xbox Era podcast, Tom Henderson writing in TryHardGuides has pointed to June 9 as the launch date for Battlefield 2042 Season 1. Three trailers are to be released, apparently, with a Season 1 reveal trailer; a specialist trailer for Ewelina Lis; and a Battle Pass trailer. All three trailers are due to drop at the same time on June 7 at 8am PT / 11am EST / 4pm BST.
Previously, dataminer temporyal found that Battlefield 2042 Season 1: Zero Hour will include new specialist Ewelina Lis, guided rocket launcher gadget, stealth helicopters, dedicated exposure playlists, and premium battle passes.
Following the launch of the three trailers it's suggested that outlets and influencers will release gameplay footage and their impressions of the content that's coming in Season 1. But a full reveal looks to be scheduled for this coming Tuesday, June 7, so fans (yes, there must be fans out there) won't have to wait long to learn more about it
