I’m halfway up a sand dune on Hourglass, one of the brand new Battlefield 2042 maps. I’ve been sitting there a while taking off heads with the DXR - the headshot ping sound isn’t quite Battlefield 1 quality, but if you like sniping then the game won’t disappoint you. My name is Wikus “Casper” Van Daele, and I’m wearing a green ghillie suit on a bright yellow sand dune. 2042’s Specialists don’t always make sense, but when they do, they change the way Battlefield is played.
