Two actors from Barbie have announced that they have wrapped filming for the movie, indicating the film may be close to finishing principal photography. Based on Mattel's iconic fashion doll line, the upcoming live-action movie is being helmed by Oscar-winning Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig off a script she co-wrote with Marriage Story's Noah Baumbach. Margot Robbie is starring in the title role, with Ryan Gosling playing Ken, Barbie's male counterpart. Robbie and Gosling star alongside a top-tier cast that includes America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Ncuti Gatwa, Alexandra Shipp, Ariana Greenblatt, Sharon Rooney, Ana Cruz Kayne, and Hari Nef among others.
Filming on Barbie has been underway in Los Angeles and Leavesden since spring. First-look images directly from WB revealed Robbie's Barbie driving a pink convertible and Gosling's Ken wearing a denim vest and sporting bleach-blonde hair. Subsequently, a barrage of set photos and videos leaked online, giving fans a good look at Barbie and Ken's Western ensembles and their neon-colored skating getups. In the past week, however, updates from the Barbie sets have been scant, although there seems to be a good explanation for that.

Nef and Greenblatt have just confirmed that they have finished filming their scenes in the Barbie movie. Greenblatt made the declaration on Twitter, acknowledging that she has nothing but endearment and respect for her colleagues and that she is excited for everyone to watch the film in theatres.
