A new Baldur's Gate 3 hotfix is now live, introducing a variety of tweaks and fixes that improve the experience on all platforms.
Hotfix #16 kicks off the year for Larian Studios' successful role-playing game with a huge list of fixes, which include changes to cross-save functionality, which no longer syncs modded saves, and to Waypoints, the ability to access certain quest-related items even if they are in the camp chest, fixes for some texture issues and visual bugs, crashes and blockers, combat and balance tweaks and more. You can find the full list of changes here.
While Larian Studios is continuing to improve Baldur's Gate 3 with patches and hotfixes, the game's director Swen Vincke is hard at work on his next project. Speaking on X/Twitter, he revealed that, after four months of hard work, he has finally figured out the first act of his next project. Additionally, this project isn't what people may think, so it's most likely not related to Baldur's Gate 3. Could it be a new game set in the Divinity universe, which Larian confirmed they will eventually return to at some point? Only time will tell.
Been a great morning! After 4 months of rewriting and rewriting and abandoning ideas and then revisiting them, finally figured out what act 1 on this thing I've been working on needs to be. Quote me when it's revealed to see how much of today's draft survives. I suspect a lot.
