Atomic Heart, the Bioshock-esque shooter from developer Mundfish, has had its release window revealed today, and the devs have managed to give themselves a bit of leeway for a release date in the game's latest trailer.
First revealed by IGN, a lengthy new trailer for Atomic Heart was published today, giving us a closer look at the combat, some of the game's many characters, and even some of the ridiculously over-the-top enemies you'll come to face throughout the game.

We also got a release window towards the end of the trailer, but just like the game itself, the way Mundfish have announced the window is rather unique. Rather than reveal a certain quarter of the year, Mundfish has opted to reveal the release window as "#######ber 2022". That means the game will launch in either September, October, November, or December this year, whilst also giving the devs plenty of room for potential delays. Very clever.
Hopefully, it's September rather than December, but at least it's not long to wait for what promises to be one of 2022's more unique titles. We actually know a fair bit about the game before launch thanks to the openness of Mundfish in interviews, with the game expected to have two very different endings decided by an "important moral choice."
We also know that plans for a sequel to Atomic Heart have already been laid out, with the developers confident that the game will be a success upon launch. Mundfish have made it a priority to make the world of Atomic Heart a place where mutliple stories can be told, and are hoping to turn Atomic Heart into a franchise that will last for years to come.
