ASUS has announced that its AM5 motherboard warranty policy will now cover AMD EXPO & Intel XMP memory overclocking profiles along with BETA BIOS.
In a recent press release, ASUS confirmed that it has updated its warranty coverage for all AMD AM5 motherboards which now covers all kinds of memory overclocking profiles such as AMD's EXPO and Intel's XMP. In addition to that, the company also announced coverage across all AM5 motherboards that are running its BETA BIOS. Following is what ASUS had to say:
[ASUS Statement] We want to address the concerns that have been raised by our users about whether recent BIOS updates will impact the warranty of AM5 motherboards. We would like to reassure our customers that both beta and fully validated BIOS updates for AM5 motherboards are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. We would also like to confirm the following points:
Furthermore, we would like to reiterate our commitment to supporting the AMD AM5 platform and our customers. For any further inquiries about your ASUS AM5 motherboard, please contact our customer service for support. Thank you for choosing ASUS.
This update from ASUS comes days after the company received major backlash on its handling of the entire AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU & motherboard burnout issues. Although ASUS isn't the only one who has misled its customers into believing that its new BIOS fully addresses the high voltage (SoC) issues that pushed AMD to ask its motherboard partners to limit it to 1.3V, they are still the most affected ones. The company is also offering a new BETA BIOS update for its AM5 motherboards:
