After several leaks, Ubisoft has officially revealed the next Assassin's Creed game, Assassin's Creed Mirage, with an extensive CG trailer, which also revealed that The Expanse's Shohreh Aghdashloo voices Basim's mentor.
As expected, the biggest announcement of the Ubisoft Showcase was Assassin's Creed Mirage, the next adventure in the series. As the leaks indicated, Mirage will star Basim as he makes his way from a street thief to one of the members of the creed. Interestingly, we also get to see that Basim actually cuts off his ring finger, something that hasn't appeared in all recent games in the series.
Ubisoft also shared a brief story description for Mirage. It reads, "In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you are Basim, a cunning street thief with nightmarish visions, seeking answers and justice. After an act of deadly retribution, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization – The Hidden Ones. The final announcement to do with Assassin's Creed Mirage was a release window of 2023, although there was no specific timing in the year given. Rumours have suggested that it's going to be released in Spring
