An Apple Watch comes with a plethora of features to save its users life by alerting them of the danger regarding their health and even does emergency calls by default. However, recently an Apple Watch explosion shocked a man and caused burn marks. Reportedly, an Apple Watch Series 7 overheated, made crackling noises and exploded. According to a report by 9to5Mac, the user of an Apple Watch Series 7 noticed the device getting overheated, began belching out smoke and then exploded. When the Apple Watch exploded, the incident was brought to Apple's notice, the company said it would investigate what happened. "The case was brought to Apple's attention and the company confirmed it would investigate what happened," the report stated.
While speaking to 9to5Mac, the Apple Watch Series 7 user explained that he was in his house where the temperature was over 70 degrees Fahrenheit, when he noticed his watch getting hotter than usual. He even found that the back of the Apple Watch had cracked and watchOS was showing a warning about needing to shut down due to its temperature.
The user further informed that he immediately contacted Apple Support to explain the situation and after going through multiple levels of hierarchy, the manager created a case for further investigation. The user was also given an instruction to not to touch the watch until he is contacted by the company.
However, the next day, the situation worsened as the Watch was even hotter to touch and the heat had shattered the device's display. "When the user picked up the Apple Watch to take pictures to send to Apple, it started to immediately make 'crackling sounds.' It then 'exploded' just as he was throwing it out the window," the report informed.
