Apple decided to start telling Apple Arcade subscribers when games are about to leave the service, giving them one last chance to download and play them.
As MacRumors reports(Opens in a new window), Apple Arcade has removed games before, but didn't make it clear until now which titles were set to disappear. However, a new section appeared within Arcade called "Leaving Arcade Soon," which lists the titles on their way out.
Currently, 15 games are listed for removal, but it isn't specified when they will disappear. Those games are:
Atone: Heart of the Elder Tree
BattleSky Brigade: Harpooner
Cardpocalypse
Dead End Job
Don't Bug Me!
Dread Nautical
EarthNight
Explottens
Lifeslide
Over the Alps
Projection: First Light
Spelldrifter
Spidersaurs
Towaga: Among Shadows
Various Daylife
Although revealing which games are leaving the service is a good move on Apple's part, it's unclear what this means for the games going forward.
As TouchArcade points out(Opens in a new window), Apple hasn't explained if these titles will simply disappear, become premium games on the main App Store, or what happens to your save data for the game if you played it via Arcade. Hopefully these points will be made clear in the near future, along with a "set to disappear" date for each game.
