Rumors of a single-player game set in the Apex Legends universe have started doing the rounds following a Respawn Entertainment job listing, and there are a few Legends in the game that would be better than others to include.Apex Legends is beloved in large part thanks to its cast of diverse and interesting characters, each with unique abilities and backstories. These abilities and backstories have some that are better than others, and some are better suited to a single-player experience than others.
Apex Legends saw its initial release in 2019 and has been steadily updated since then. Most recently, the game got an update titled Apex Legends: Saviors, a significant step forward with a new Legend, Newcastle, new areas, and more. The game is one of the only battle royales to stand the test of time and has seen a few additional projects in the game's universe, including a port of the game to phones with Apex Legends: Mobile.

With new updates and projects came new Legends, and some are perfect for a single-player spinoff in the Apex universe. While multiple Legends could be playable in a single-player game, it seems more likely that the spinoff centers around a single Legend for story and gameplay. Because of this, some Legends are better for a single-player game than others, whether it's due to their current backstory or gameplay.
Added in Season 9, Apex Legends: Legacy, Valkyrie is an obvious candidate for a single-player Apex spinoff.
