Anthony Mackie reveals which of his Avengers co-stars he’d like be stuck on a desert island with. The actor has been playing the role of Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. After appearing throughout the Infinity Saga and starring in the miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Mackie has made the rounds in the MCU, and his future in the franchise is only growing brighter following Sam's acceptance of the Captain America title.
When Mackie's Falcon made his MCU debut, he started as a friend and ally of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and fought with him against a brainwashed Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) while he was in the midst of his Winter Soldier era. From there, Mackie, like many Marvel cast members, has been on a long journey throughout Phases 2 and 3 of the MCU, and he does not appear to be done just yet. Following the conclusion of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Marvel announced the development of Captain America 4; Mackie officially signed on to lead the film back in August.
