An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player deciphered two of the tiniest details included in furniture pieces this week, reading the music on an in-game chalkboard and translating the piece of paper included within a typewriter. The latest in the Animal Crossing series, New Horizons was initially released in March 2020 and has sold over 32 million copies. Since its release, the game has received many sizable updates, including a huge Animal Crossing 2.0 update in November 2021.
Animal Crossing places players on a remote island which they can design however they wish while they live amongst anthropomorphic animal villagers. Home interiors can also be designed using a myriad of furniture items, walls, and flooring, the variety of which was greatly expanded upon with the Animal Crossing 2.0 update, which added over 9,000 new items. The 2.0 update also added a myriad of other features to the game including farming, a new museum café, and new animal villagers. One of the most game-changing additions was the inclusion of new in-game camera modes; Animal Crossing players can now utilize first-person cameras, as well as a tripod, to view their islands from new angles.

Youtuber Komugi Neko (via Nintendo Life) shared two Easter eggs included in Animal Crossing furniture through use of the front-facing camera: the music written on the chalkboard item, and the half-written piece of paper that sits in the typewriter item.
