Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will want to farm Flour to cook a large variety of recipes. While Flour is a popular cooking ingredient, players will first need to harvest five Wheat and craft the Wheat into Flour before the Flour can be used to create culinary dishes. The completed dishes can be used to decorate indoors or outdoors, given to villagers as gifts, or eaten by the player, allowing them to move trees or smash rocks.
The first step to obtaining Flour is to find Wheat. Players can wait for Leif to appear on their island, which will occur once per week, and see if his randomized inventory includes Wheat Starts. If Leif is offering Wheat Starts, they will cost 1,400 Bells for five starts. His stock on Harv's Island will refresh every Monday, and it includes the same items he has a chance to bring directly to the player's island. Additionally, Players can also use the boat service offered by Kapp'n to visit a random island once per day for 1,000 Nook Miles to see if the randomized island has Wheat. If the island tour has Wheat, players will be able to use a Shovel to bring the Wheat home and plant it on their own island.
