Charismatic Watch What Happens Live host, Andy Cohen, says that he wants the lawsuit brought against him by NeNe Leakes, a former housewife of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, to be handled privately. NeNe appeared on RHOA from seasons 1 through 7 and then again from seasons 10 through 12. The former housewife assumed a role of leadership while on the show, and though she was a fan favorite, she was known for her short temper and quick attitude. During the reunion episode for season 12 of the reality series, NeNe hit a rough patch with Andy Cohen and producers after she left in the middle of the reunion and decided not to return. After this stunt, she was not invited to be a cast member in season 13 of the show.
In April 2022, NeNe filed a lawsuit against Andy, Bravo, NBC Universal, and True Original claiming that the networks were supporting and harboring a racist work environment. Since filing the lawsuit, the Linnethia Lounge owner has spoken about why she made such a bold move, and even claimed that she has been blacklisted by the network as a result. NeNe has received strong support from some of her fans, but others believe that the star only filed a lawsuit because she was removed as a cast member of the show. While NeNe has spoken a lot about the issue, Andy and the networks listed in the lawsuit have been silent.
