Bravo host Andy Cohen shares his reaction to the news that The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah has pleaded guilty. Jen was an original housewife of RHOSLC, which has aired two seasons so far. The reality star was controversial among fans, with some loving her for her over-the-top demeanor, impressive wardrobe and ability to create drama. Others, however, found her loud, obnoxious and attention-seeking. Jen has been married to Sharrieff Shah, a football coach at the University of Utah, for over 25 years, and with him, she shares two sons, Sharrieff Jr. and Omar. Throughout both seasons, Jen routinely flaunted her wealth and success with lavish parties and ornate designer and couture outfits. Although she claimed to run a very successful business, at the RHOSLC season 2 reunion, Jen had a hard time explaining what it was that her company actually did or how it made money.
At the beginning of RHOSLC season 2, Jen and her assistant, Stuart Smith, were both arrested while cameras were still rolling in March 2021. The arrest came after both Jen and Stuart were accused of alleged fraud in a telemarketing scheme. The other housewives had varying reactions to the news of Jen's arrest. Heather Gay, Jen's longtime friend and confidant, appeared to support Jen, while other women, such as Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks, insinuated some suspicion over the allegations. Initially, both Jen and Stuart pled not guilty to the charges. Shortly after that, however, Stuart changed his plea to guilty. At the time, Jen insisted she's innocence and repeatedly stated via the show and her personal social media that she was not guilty of the crimes alleged against her.
