As AMD prepares to release next-generation graphics cards, the company is quietly pointing out that its existing Radeon RX 6000 GPUs are seeing major price cuts at retailers.
The company did so in a blog post(Opens in a new window) that touts AMD’s efforts to boost the performance-per-watt capabilities over each Radeon generation. The same blog post contains an interesting chart comparing the current Radeon 6000 lineup against rival products from Nvidia.
The most noteworthy part about the chart is the costs: They’re all down from the original starting prices for the Radeon 6000 GPUs.

Meanwhile, the RX 6750 XT has fallen from $549 to as low as $419(Opens in a new window). In addition, the RX 6600 has dropped from $329 to $239(Opens in a new window).

However, it’s fairly routine for vendors to slash prices to clear out inventory in the run-up to a new product line. (That said, AMD's own online store(Opens in a new window) continues to sell Radeon GPUs at their original starting price.)
For now, AMD’s chart merely notes it compiled the lowest street prices for the Radeon GPUs available on Newegg as of Sept. 15. The same pricing trends are also true for Best Buy, where an RX 6900 XT can retail for
