Newegg is selling the Intel-created limited edition Arc models, including the 16GB version A770. Unfortunately, the supplies for the A770 seem to have already run out. Newegg has currently placed an “Out of Stock” notice on the listing for the product.
UPDATE: Intel has released a blog post(Opens in a new window) on where the Arc GPUs will be available. Unfortunately, it currently says the products will only be sold via Newegg and physical stores at Microcenter. The blog post also mentions availability for other markets including the UK, Australia and China.
The Arc GPUs represent Intel’s first stab at a desktop gaming graphics card in two decades. The company is positioning them as an affordable alternative to Nvidia’s and AMD’s GPUs by pricing them both under $350. According to our review, the Arc A770 is a well-priced product, although buyers should brace for inconsistent performance, particularly with older games.
Surprisingly though, Intel has been quiet on how consumers can buy one during launch day amid rumors(Opens in a new window) the Arc GPUs are facing supplier troubles. That’s not a great sign, especially since Intel has already delayed the Arc GPUs at least two times.
In the meantime, Newegg has created a special page promotion page(Opens in a new window) for the Arc graphics cards, which the retailer could add more products to as more Arc GPU models arrive.
