Today serves as the one-year anniversary of the worldwide release of Lost Ark, at least for those who played it early. And just yesterday, a recent news blog post on the official Lost Ark website revealed that the developers plan on holding quite the birthday bash for their MMORPG. Specifically, the developer will host various celebrations and give out rewards to fans all throughout the month of February. Tomorrow, it will start with the release of the ‘First Anniversary Celebration’ update, which will introduce a wealth of new content for the game.
The most significant addition featured in the update comes in the form of a brand new explorable continent called Rowen. Rather unsurprisingly, two of these factions, Preigelli and Liebertane, have begun conflicting over these jewels, and players will involve themselves in the dispute. Notably, players will need to reach Item Level 1,445 to embark on this perilous quest.

In addition to Rowen, the Lost Ark anniversary update will treat players to a variety of cosmetics as well as several special events to partake in. These events include the Anniversary Event, which places birthday cards all across the game world for players to collect, and the Hot Spring Event, which ties into the Anniversary Event by letting players gather ‘Lost Ark’ cards. You can look at the rest of the anniversary update’s myriad additions on the aforementioned news blog post.
