Several new enemy types were added with 5.0’s Natlan region, from regular overworld opponents to creatures, elite enemies, and bosses. The new enemies in Natlan accompany the release of the first part of the Nation of Pyro. Not only does Natlan provide a new landscape to explore and traverse, aided by the help of the various Saurian types but also new challenges for the new 5.0 characters to face in combat. New enemy groups are not new and a few are introduced with every new major Nation release, but Natlan offers a wide variety of opponents.
These new enemies come in various shapes and forms, all reflecting the different style provided by the nation of Pyro. The humanoid enemies in Natlan, for instance, carry elements that represent their adoration of the several Saurian types in the area. The area also carries the legacy of Fontaine and offers a wide breadth of animal types, from smaller beetles to towering beasts that resemble dinosaurs. There are many new enemy types that have been added with the update, and that is notable upon giving the first steps into Natlan in 5.0.
The human enemies in Natlan are some of the most common and widespread opponents that players will face as they explore the Nation of Pyro. The humanoids here are all tribal warriors that compose a single enemy faction called Sauroform Tribal Warriors. Like the Eremites from the Sumeru region, for example, the Sauroform Tribal Warriors come in many different shapes and forms, especially considering which type of Sauron they revere. The Forged Sand Interrogator, Forged Sand Shieldbreaker, and Forged Sand Javelineer are all lesser enemies that worship the Tepetlisauri in, for example.
On the other hand, the Tepetlisaurus Warrior: Rockbreaker Blade is a stronger type of enemy among this group. These enemies carry apparel and weaponry that resembles the hardened scales of the Tepetlisauri and even behave in similar ways during combat.
