Being on the Switch, Metroid Prime Remastered doesn’t have achievements in a traditional sense, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t extra challenges to complete over the course of the game. Doing things like collecting all the items in the game will unlock bonuses like concept art in the main menu, for example.
Another challenge involves using the Scan Visor to scan everything in the game that has a Logbook entry — that means every enemy, most environmental tools, and special scans like Chozo Lore and Pirate Data. Most of these scans can be attained at any point in the game, allowing players to go back and pick them up if they missed them on the first sweep, but some are missable and only appear just once or for a limited time.
Thankfully, Metroid Prime Remastered allows players to start a New Game+ upon completing the game, which keeps your Logbook intact, but if you want to get all of those missable scans in one fell swoop, take a look below to make sure you don’t miss out. The list is in the chronological order that you’re likely to find them in-game, unless you’re engaging in some heavy sequence breaking.

The first opportunity to scan one will come right at the beginning of the game, in the Map Facility in Research Frigate Orpheon, and the last chance will likely be in the Phazon Mines area much later on — it can be found in the Map Station Mines room, just off Omega Research.
