Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul says he asked co-star Bryan Cranston to be godfather to his new baby. Paul and Cranston became an unforgettable TV team when they debuted as Jesse Pinkman and Walter White in season 1 of AMC’s classic drama. And it’s already been confirmed that the duo will reunite at some point during the currently ongoing season 6 of the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul.
The promised BCS return of meth kingpin Walter White and his on-again-off-again assistant Pinkman will indeed be a thrill for fans of the Breaking Bad universe. Of course the relationship between Pinkman and White formed much of the dramatic meat of Breaking Bad, though that relationship would often prove to be toxic indeed. But the infamous White would finally find redemption through Jesse, rescuing his meth cooking protégé and emotional punching bag from neo-Nazis in the classic Breaking Bad finale «Felina.»

It’s unbelievably been nine years since Breaking Bad went off the air in such grand fashion in 2013. But happily the show’s two main stars have maintained their relationship after the series’ end and indeed seem to be as tight as ever. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Paul revealed that he even recently asked Cranston for a very special favor (via EW):
«I asked Bryan on his birthday if he would be our baby's godfather. No, he's very excited, very honored. I love the man to death. He's one of my best friends in the world, and, so yeah, it was just a no-brainer.»
