90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Usman Umar a.k.a. Sojaboy has called “Zara” his most controversial video and there are many reasons why he could have said that. The Nigerian singer wants to make it big internationally like Michael Jackson and Jay-Z. Meanwhile, he caught the attention of 50-year-old Kim Menzies, his co-star on 90 Day Fiancé. Alas, Usman’s claim to fame is not his music, but him being featured in a previous season with another woman, his now ex-wife Lisa “Babygirl” Hamme. Back then, Usman had dedicated a song called “I Love You” to Lisa, but “Zara” is not meant for Kim. Surprisingly, Usman had written the song for an entirely different woman he was supposed to marry.
On 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days episode 6, Usman filmed the music video for “Zara”, which is what he’d flown to Zanzibar for. After getting to know Kim for a year by speaking to her online, both Usman and Kim wished to explore a romantic relationship. Despite Usman being skeptical of dating someone who’s very similar to Lisa, Kim dreams of getting married to him. She tried her best to impress Usman on his “Zara” video set by taking control of the management and morphing into a stage mom - which really upset Usman’s team. Moreover, Kim seemed like he had zero ideas about the real meaning of “Zara”, which Usman lied to her about and told her was a song meant for all the women named Zara across the world.
