Varya Malina from 90 Day Fiancé shares a YouTube video in which she explains how she immigrated to America. Viewers may remember the Russian cast member and her partner Geoffrey Paschel from their appearance on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4. Even though the couple got engaged, Varya kept her relationship with Geoffrey a secret for about a year. Still, many viewers were certain the duo was closer than they publically appeared to be.
After Geoffrey was sentenced to 18 years in prison for assaulting his former lover, 90 Day Fiancé viewers wondered how Varya would stay in America. Despite Geoffrey's conviction, the 33-year-old reality star appeared cheerful and continued to live her life in Tennessee. Her presence in the country made some believe she married Geoffrey and had already received her green card. The rumors of the two being married intensified after Varya shared images that appeared to be from a wedding photoshoot in March 2021. Varya wore a gorgeous white bridal gown and held a mystery man's hand in the pictures. However, neither Geoffrey nor Varya ever confirmed the wedding rumors.

Now, Varya has put the old rumors to rest by showing off her green card and revealing she is a permanent resident of America. She received her green card in a lottery. The former 90 Day Fiancé cast member confirmed she got into the United States on a tourist visa. Later on, she applied for the Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV) Program, which "aims to diversify the immigrant population of the United States by selecting the applicants from the countries with a low numbers of immigrants in last 5 years."
