The game is expected to be, per Todd Howard's own statement, "like Skyrim in space," setting players loose on a massive open-world and letting them dig into various RPG elements. While the gaming world has high hopes for Starfield, there have also been concerns raised about its previously planned release date of November 2022, as no gameplay has been shown.
