A new Alan Wake 2 development update reveals new details about Remedy Entertainment's' survival horror title, including some creepy concept art. The first Alan Wake, released back in 2010, follows the titular thriller novelist as he battles a dark force and investigates the disappearance of his wife Alice. While Alan Wake certainly has elements of supernatural horror, at its core the game is an action-adventure first-person shooter with some survival elements. However, Alan Wake 2 will apparently expand upon the first game's dark themes and tone with intense survival horror gameplay. While few firm facts have been officially revealed about the sequel, Game Director Sam Lake has confirmed that it will retain the third-person perspective used in most of Remedy Entertainment's past titles. Until an official gameplay trailer or demo, fans can only imagine how Alan Wake 2 will use survival horror to forge the franchise's next chapter.

An Alan Wake anniversary video, posted to YouTube by Remedy Entertainment, gives fans an update on Alan Wake 2's development.
