Remedy Entertainment Outlines Five Upcoming Games
Remedy Entertainment is known for making some unique story-driven games that often focus on a blend of eerie sci-fi elements set behind a mystery. Control, for instance, follows the player as they seek to find their missing brother in a facility that has been taken over by an extra-dimensional entity. Alan Wake has the titular novelist following the trail of his missing wife. Essentially, Remedy is a studio that gamers are often interested in, leading to a lot of intrigue when in a recent earnings report it provided updates on five upcoming titles that it had in the works.
Remedy's CEO Tero Virtala made some comments following the publishing of its financial earnings report. First, Virtala tackled the upcoming and highly anticipated sequel to Alan Wake. Alan Wake 2 was given its announcement trailer at the Game Awards 2021, but since then there haven't been too many details unveiled about how the game besides the fact it will be a survival horror title. This led some to think that Alan Wake 2 could be years off, but Virtala is hoping that the game will be available in 2023, as he states "Alan Wake 2 is in the full production stage."
Alan Wake Remastered Arrives on the Nintendo Switch This Fall
Alan Wake 2 will not be the action-adventure experience of the first game, and will have survival horror elements. However, it's currently unknown what those will look like as the game has only recently revealed concept art alongside the release of Alan Wake's anniversary update. The next game Remedy spoke about was Codename Vanguard, which will be co-published with Tencent.
