While India is eagerly waiting for the roll out of 5G services, Delhi Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport), India's biggest and busiest airport, has already become 5G-ready. 5G-services in India are all set to roll out in selected Indian cities from October 1. Hence, you will be able to use the fastest mobile services at the terminal immediately after the services start rolling out in the country.
As announced by Airport officials, passengers carrying 5G-enabled smartphones with 5G SIM cards could access this at the Domestic Departure pier and International Arrival Baggage area at Terminal 3 as well as from T3 Arrivals to Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP).

According to reports, Terminal 3's 5G services deployment will be executed in a phased manner. As of now, only a few TSPs received the new 5G network service to facilitate their customers, while others will get the same in coming weeks.
Besides this, visitors to GMR Aerocity Delhi can also get the experience of the 5G network at GMR Square. Meanwhile, 5G service will be rolled out in the country in a phase-wise manner and in the first phase only 13 Indian cities will get fast-speed internet service. The list includes, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. Do note that not everyone living in these cities will get access to 5G services. The telcos may offer access to 5G in selected areas of these cities. 5G services may take a longer time to reach everyone even in these cities. It will roll out in other parts of countries too in the coming months.
